EFCA ReachGlobal Justice Initiatives (India)

We are excited to be partnering with the Evangelical Free Church of America (EFCA)’s ReachGlobal Justice Initiatives outreach in India which is bringing help and hope to the trafficked women in West Bengal.  Ashley, (shown above), a talented local artist who recently graduated from Heritage Christian Academy in Maple Grove, MN, has created a line of stamped jewelry called Kalos Splanchna (which means “beautiful compassion” in Greek).  Art 2 Heart invested in Ashley's training and purchases the supplies, and the proceeds from these pendants are being donated to support the new Mukti ("Deliverance") Women's Training Program for the young women who are released from this nightmare so that they can learn skills to provide financially for themselves and their families.  The Mukti ministry works to stop the flow of minor girls into the sex trade and to address the needs of the trafficking survivors in West Bengal.  Ashley had the opportunity to travel with EFCA's Justice Initiatives Team to India in 2012 to spend time with those involved in this critical outreach for these precious young women in India.  To learn more about Justice Initiative's work in the fight against human trafficking, go to efca.org.
